Services- Planned Maintenance

Any mechanical equipment has to be maintained. Much like your car your Heating and Air Conditioning system needs to have a tune up yearly. A PLANNED MAINTENANCE SERVICE is designed to keep equipment running at peak efficiency and lower utility cost, extend equipment life, maintain consistent comfort levels and help prevent system failure.

Motors need oil, filers need changed, duct work needs to be checked for leakage, and a lot more. We offer Maintenance Service on our Geo-Exchange systems, which are pretty specialized as well as Heat systems or Air Conditioning systems and Heat Pump systems.

We offer a couple different options for Conventional Heating and Cooling systems. Geo-Exchange is a little different animal and we‘ll discuss that in a moment.

Options for Heating and Air Conditioning systems and Conventional Heat Pumps:
  • Twice a year Maintenance Service:
    • With this service we will set you up for a maintenance service in the fall or winter months for your heating system. Then contact you approximately 6 month later to schedule the Maintenance service for your cooling system. This program is good because you pay for both services at the fall service and receive a break on the cost of the Spring and Summer service.
  • One Time Maintenance Service
    • This is for those of you who only have Heat or only Air Conditioning system and only need to see our smiley faces one time a year.
  • Options for Geo-Exchange systems:
    • Well, there is no options for Geo-Exchange. Even those it is technically a Heat Pump because it is ground affiliated, it only needs to be maintained once a year.

In the in-between time, here are some tips on what you can do to keep your unit in the best condition possible.
  1. FILTER, FILTER, FILTER! I’ll say it again for those of you who saw a butterfly and got distracted. Change your filter monthly, not yearly. This has got to be the #1 killer of units. A dirty filter or missing filter will clog up the works and take years off the life of your unit. Changing your filters will keep your unit clean and we all know that anything mechanical will work much better clean.
  2. Do not build containment sheds or roofs around or above your condensing unit. The unit needs to “breath”. If the unit is not getting a enough air flow through the coil it will cause the unit to have to work harder to deliver cool air, again take years off the like of your unit.
  3. Animal urine is extremely caustic and can eat at the metal of the unit and for some unknown reason some dogs will almost take a personal offence to a new unit intruding in their backyard. If you notice your dog and unit not getting along, try protecting the unit, its the more defenseless.
  4. If you notice your system not work the way it should, call us now rather than later. Usually if a small problem can be repaired before it become a large problem, the repair bill will coincide.
